LastHit ("the App") is developed and provided by Amol Mendonca ("we," "us," "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use LastHit.

1) Information We Collect

A. Account & Authentication (Required)

LastHit requires an account to use the Service. We collect information needed to create and maintain your account, including:

  • Email address (if you sign up with email/password)
  • Account identifiers (such as a user ID)
  • Authentication tokens/credentials used to keep you signed in

Sign in with Apple (when enabled): If you choose Sign in with Apple, we receive an app-specific identifier for your account. Depending on your selection, we may receive your email address or an Apple "Hide My Email" relay address. We may also receive your name the first time you authorize (depending on your Apple settings).

B. Content You Log (Stored Server-Side)

To provide core features (sync, statistics, and progress), we store the information you enter, including:

  • Craving logs (e.g., time, mood selections, triggers, and any notes you type)
  • Puff tracking (e.g., counts, timestamps, limits/goals, and progress)
  • Related settings and derived statistics based on your logs

Note: Free-form notes may contain sensitive personal information if you choose to enter it. Please avoid entering information you don't want stored.

C. Purchases & Subscriptions (When Enabled)

If you purchase a subscription or in-app product, Apple processes your payment. To provide subscription access and manage entitlements, we (and our subscription provider) may process purchase/subscription metadata such as product identifiers and subscription status. We do not receive your full payment card details.

D. Basic Technical & Security Data

We may process limited technical information to operate the Service reliably and securely (for example, app version, device/OS information, and operational logs).

We do not request iOS location permission and do not collect precise location.

2) How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Provide and operate the Service (account login, syncing, saving logs, showing stats)
  • Personalize your experience (limits, progress, and insights based on your own logs)
  • Maintain security and prevent abuse (fraud prevention, account security)
  • Provide support and communicate essential service messages

3) How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We share information only as needed to operate the Service, including with:

Service Providers (Processors)

We use third-party providers to host and operate core functionality, such as:

  • Supabase — authentication and database/storage for account and logged data
  • RevenueCat — when enabled, for subscription status and purchase-related processing

These providers process information on our behalf to provide the Service.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security, or in connection with a business transfer (such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets).

4) Advertising, Attribution, and Tracking

We may run marketing campaigns to promote LastHit.

LastHit does not track you across other companies' apps and websites for targeted advertising today. If we ever implement tracking as defined by Apple, we will request permission where required and will provide updated disclosures.

5) Data Retention

We retain information only as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business purposes (security, fraud prevention, and legal compliance), including:

  • Account and logs: retained until you delete them or delete your account
  • Purchase/subscription metadata: retained as needed to provide entitlements and for support/accounting
  • Operational logs: retained for a limited period unless needed for security or legal reasons

6) Your Choices and Controls

Delete Account

You can delete your account in-app. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your account data and associated logs from our active systems within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention reasons.

Sign in with Apple Email Options

If you use Sign in with Apple, you may choose "Hide My Email," which provides a relay address instead of your personal email address.

7) Security

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information (such as encryption in transit and access controls). No system is 100% secure.

8) Children's Privacy

LastHit is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9) International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live depending on where our providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards.

10) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the Effective Date above and may provide additional notice in the app or on our website.
